Dr. Staszewski is a clinical neurologist whose research interests include acute stroke management and organisation of stroke care.
He earned his PhD from the Military Medical Institute of Warsaw in stroke medicine in 2007.
In 2007, Dr. Staszewski joined the Clinic of Neurology at the Military Institute of Medicine in Warsaw as Assistant Professor, and has been responsible for organisation of the modern Stroke Unit, Neurosonology Unit and management of in-hospital care pathways for stroke.
He has authored or co-authored over 100 articles, abstracts and book chapters within stroke literature. Much of his recent work has focused on acute stroke therapies, prophylactics of cardioembolic stroke, cerebral small vessel diseases and organisation of stroke services.
He is a member of the Austin Journal of Stroke and Cerbrovascular Diseases Editorial Board and has served as peer reviewer to Atherosclerosis, Polish Heart Journal, Folia Cardiologica and Polish Postgraduate Medical Journal.
